FIRST AID INSTRUCTIONS

Particular instructions

In case of an accident or nausea, the care of a doctor may be necessary.

Breathing

If spray or vapour is inhaled, move to fresh air and if required consult a doctor.

Skin

If there is a spillage of the chemical onto clothing, remove clothes and shoes as soon
as possible. Rinse splashes away immediately with clean water.
If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.

Splashes into eyes

Rinse immediately with eyes open under clean running water, including below eyelids,
for at aleast 15 minutes.
If symptoms continue, consult a doctor.

Ingestion

Rinse the mouth and drink plenty of water.

Information for the doctor or other expert who gives first aid.

Give care according to the symptoms.

INSTRUCTIONS IN CASE OF A FIRE

Appropriate extinguishing media

The product will not self ignite. Use appropriate extinguishing method for the individual
circumstances.

Thermal decay can cause release of irretating gas and steam

Use breathing apparatus and fireproof protection in case of fire.

Instructions for prevention of personal injury

Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Use personal protection equipments, see section 8.2.

Instructions for prevention of environmental damage

Prevent leaks from containers. Do not allow the chemical to contaminate surrounding
environment.  Do not pour into a watercourse.

Cleansing instructions

The product should be absorbed by an inert material (e.g. sand, soil, material binding
acid, general cement). Gather mechanically and store in an appropriate container for disposal.
Rinse residue away with water.

HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling

Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes. Avoid breathing steam/spray. Do not eat
or drink when handling the material. Wash hands and face before break and soon after
handling the product. Comply with the Health & Safety at work laws.

Storage

Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place.
Do not keep with foodstuff or animal food products.

Prevention of exposure

Operational prevention of exposure

Choose the type of protective clothing and accessories according to the concentration
and the amount of dangerous material at the workplace.

Breathing protection

Do not breath sprayed material. Where possible an adequate extractor system should
be employed.  Use appropriate breathing apparatus if the ventilation is inadequate.  
For example: Breathing apparatus equipped with P3 filter.

Skin and Hand protection

Protective clothing. Wear clean and uncontaminated clothing.
Wear Rubber or plastic gloves.

Eye protection

Closely fitting protection glasses or face guard. Have a bottle of eye-washing
water and an eye bath available for use in the event of accidental splashes.

Hygiene measures

Never eat drink or smoke in work areas. Comply with good personal hygiene
practices after using this material, especially before eating, drinking, smoking or
using the toilet.
It is advisable not to wear contact lenses when working with chemicals, as
they may contribute to the severity of an eye injury. 

Prevention of environmental contamination

Where possible use all materials for its intended purpose. Do not allow the
material to contaminate the environment.
Do not empty into drains or watercourses.
